Pirani Amma memories warm, she leaves,
A life envious for many, she leaves,
Admirer's countless behind, she leaves,
Hearts empty tears flowing, she leaves,
Shaykh al-Islam's company pious, she leaves,
With secrets many of wisdom, she leaves,
Such the mystery of destiny herein,
A world heavenly to dwell, she leaves,
Graceful ethics, peaceful efforts she leaves,
A nation mourning and in prayer, she leaves,
Flocked to bid farewell, herd of devotee's she leaves,
Amassed
to witness, a faithful pasture she leaves,
Shahadah voiced believers, amassed by the grave,
A
Mother Spiritual, children aggrieved she leaves,
Life devout with Madni zeal enhanced she leaves,
Qur'an
reciting durud conveying enriched tongues she leaves,
Pillar of servitude, love and compassion,
A Partner in gratitude, passionately she leaves.
'alayha al-rahmah w'al-ghufran
Ahmedabad witnessed
scenes for a funeral procession arguably never seen before in recent history for a Sayyidah Khatoon Rahmatullahi 'alayhaa who was
finally laid to rest. This was no ordinary funeral. It was led by Hadrat
Shaykh al Islam and their younger brother Hadrat Ghazi e Millat;
ironically still in grief from their own loss from just a matter of
days earlier.
Many of the nobles and notables from Kicchocha
Muqaddasah and from the Ashrafiyya Khanwada from various parts of the
world gathered at Madani Maskan to share the loss and moment of
grief with Hadrat Shaykh al Islam w'al Muslimeen. The house must have
been heaving with people but in reality it was 'empty'. Empty without the
heart and soul of the house, our beloved Spiritual Mother, Pyari
Makhdoomah Amma Sahiba May Almighty the Allah bless her soul.
As
we start getting reports of the funeral and the mass turnout we can
now see for ourselves the fact that tens of thousands of people
attended the funeral of this highly devout and caring lady is in
essence a testimony of the 'khidmah' (service) and contribution of an
awesome Scholar, Sufi and Shaykh, our spiritual Master better known
throughout the globe as 'Raees ul Muhaqqiqeen' Hadrat Shaykh al Islam
wal Muslimeen.
Ahmedabad Shareef just like Multan of Pakistan is also
known as 'Madinah tul Awliya' with so many esteemed and great Awliya
Allah resting therein. Surely this City blessed with the barakah and
grace of the Buzurghanai Deen was chosen to be the final resting
place of the gracious lady who had spent her life serving arguably
the greatest Scholar of our time. She was particularly known for her
hospitality and mighty big heart, finding pleasure and delight in
serving the guests of Hadrat Shaykh al Islam with the highest quality
and variety of foods whether it be at their home in Ahmedabad or
during the Urs celebrations in Kicchocha Muqaddasah.
She has
left many hearts that were absorbed in the love of Shaykh al Islam
drenched in tears. But more so than others she has left the Household
of our Shaykh al-Kamil whose grief has been shared by Muslims
throughout the world. Even the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu
ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam was particularly saddened after the sad
passing away of Hadrat Khadijah tul Kubra Radi Allahu ta'ala anha.
Thus this became a Sunnah as well as a natural process that many of
us have to endure at some point of our lives.
However we must
be absolutely clear that this was no ordinary person of the present
era grieving the loss of their lifetime companion. This is someone
who has spent a lifetime preaching, guiding and comforting their
devotees in similar circumstances. This is someone who understands
and wholeheartedly accepts the will of the Almighty better than most.
One who fits the category of the selected ones who come in the list
of those described as.,
'Khuda ki raza pe razi rehtai hain
Since it is the
Friends of Allah whose every step, every thought, every word and
every action is in conjunction with the Qur'an and Sunnah which is
constantly in Fear of nothing other than the fear of Allah. As is
